Happy New Year! I’d like to start this year off by looking back at some of the great weddings I was privileged to have photographed here in Boston and further afield last year.
I photographed weddings all through New England, from wedding photos in Boston in the heart of the city, to farms in New Hampshire and coastal weddings down in Rhode Island. Each one was unique and just as much fun as the last. It was a true pleasure to have been part of so many happy days last year and I’m looking forward to what the next year will bring.
Some of the New England weddings I photographed last year are yet to have a complete blog post but this will give you a little sneak peek into some of those.
These are just a small sample of some of my favorite wedding images from 2012 and I’ll be posting a few more in part 2 (and maybe 3) very soon.
Thank you so much again to all those couples that I had the chance to work with in 2012 and for those that I have already given me the green light to capture in 2013. I really looking forward to another great here photographing weddings in New England, from The Cape up into Maine.

All the best for 2013, I hope that you are all looking forward to it as much as me.
This blog post has been written by my wife and assistant on the day Erin. Joe and Lynn were really great to work with and she got to know them pretty well that day too, so I thought it would be nice to get a new perspective on their Maine and New England wedding day.
This weekend I helped Roberto Farren Photography at the wedding celebration of Joe and Lynn in Wells, Maine. Roberto beat his previous record for shots taken in one day, so I thought I’d help him out further by writing the blog post for this beautiful Maine wedding, while he cracks on with the post-production.
The whole wedding day was amazingly fun, even for those of us who were technically working. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect, the venues and Maine coastal scenery were breathtaking, and Joe and Lynn’s family and friends were incredibly warm, welcoming, and hysterically funny. I’m not sure if I’ve ever been to such a joy-filled event, and that definitely made capturing their day a delight. They had a back garden celebration afterwards under one of Sperry tents wonderful canopies.
Even though Roberto had met with Joe and Lynn a number of times before their wedding day, that morning was my first time meeting them. I was struck by how warm they were, and it soon became obvious why they were surrounded by such an outpouring of love and happiness at their wedding celebration. Throughout the day, there were a number of touching tributes to them, and I found myself scrambling for a tissue on more than one occasion.
I was already having a great time helping Roberto capture their day, and didn’t think it could get much better, but I was terribly mistaken. Soon after the introductions, the music started. And whoa Nelly, can these families dance. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, was out on the dance floor throwing shapes, giving it their all and in some cases, testing the laws of physics and gravity. It was such fun to watch, and Roberto captured some amazing shots of the action.
Joe and Lynn’s Maine wedding was really what weddings should be about, and it was a pleasure to be a part of it. Wishing Joe and Lynn all the best for a bright future together!
