The Yankees were in town the weekend before last, and I learned early on in getting to know my new hometown that this is always a big sporting event in the Boston. I received a call a couple of days before from Lindsay, a Red Sox fan, asking if I had some availability to shoot an engagement session for her and her fiancé Brian, who is a Yankees fan.
Shooting engagement photos at Fenway Park was something that I have wanted to do since moving to this town and setting up my Boston wedding photography business here in the USA. Lindsay and Brian were really great fun to work with and despite the Yankees winning the game the night before, they were both still on speaking terms :)
It was another scorcher in Boston and we started off getting some great engagement photos in the Beacon Hill area, near where Lindsay works. We then had a nice relaxed walk through Boston Common to the Public Gardens, where we shot some more really nice photographs. Photographing at a few different locations gave us a nice variety of images from the day, and gave Lindsay and Brian a lot of photos to use for their wedding day guest book.
We then drove up to get some final engagement photos at Fenway Park. The heat was on again that day (for us AND the Sox bullpen) and driving over allowed us to crank the AC, cool down and refresh a little before getting back into the mix. Fenway was already bustling with people ready for the day’s game, and we had a great time walking around with the crowds at Fenway Park, and catching some of the historic stadium’s iconic architecture, colors and landmarks as we went.
The Sox went on to win the series, and we went on to get some unique shots of a great couple.
