The opportunity for a Boston wedding photographer to head to the coast and get some engagement photos is never turned down.
Friday evening saw me catching up with Lynn and Joe up in Wells, ME. We scoped out some locations for their wedding photos, and got them some engagement shots while we were at it. Getting out of Boston and shooting with these guys was great fun and I’m looking forward to their big day, which is rapidly approaching.
We started out at the home of their close friends, which is based near Wells Beach, and got some fun shots on their balcony overlooking the sea. After that, we moved on to the harbor area near the beautiful sea marshes behind Drakes Island beach. This is a really nice little area that offers some wonderful opportunities for some great Maine engagement photographs.
Both the marsh area and the sea were complimented by some beautiful man-made structures, including the gazebo and a great little viewing platform.
The back of the local fishing shop made for a really unique spot for some more coastal Maine engagement photos. The weathered wooden shingles on the shop gave a wonderfully traditional Maine backdrop, and the wooden pillars wrapped in rope meant you know you are by the coast.
After this, we headed to Kennebunk beach to get some more engagement photos, and this proved to be another stunning location. You are really spoilt for choice when shooting Kennebunkport engagements and as a Boston wedding photographer it is always a nice change to get out of the city and explore other parts of New England. I had a great afternoon with Lynn and Joe, and can’t wait to shoot their wedding.
