Photographing Indian wedding celebrations in Boston provides a wonderful array of treats for the senses.
As a Boston wedding photographer who grew up, lived and worked in London, I was raised surrounded by the many wonderful people and cultures that such a city offers. The diversity within London is extremely rich, and this has helped make London the great place that it is today. Living in such a city gave me the opportunity to shoot many different styles of weddings and some of the most colorful and elaborate ones to photograph were Indian weddings.
As a Boston Indian wedding photographer, the sights and sounds of an Indian wedding are very similar, and a great treat for the senses. The first thing that I always notice is the wonderful abundance of rich color, with red being a traditional, predominant one, used to reflect love and happiness. Indian wedding photography in Boston is as colorful here as it is back home in London, and of course in India.
Another important part of the whole celebration is the henna party, in which the bride-to-be and her friends and family will create beautiful and intricately designed henna tattoos. I have had the privilege of shooting these back in the UK and I’m very looking forward to photographing a Boston Indian wedding henna party should I get the opportunity.
Boston Indian wedding photographers will often cover several days of events, with traditional Hindu weddings sometimes running for days. Often in Boston or London, these celebrations may be limited in time and a shorter version of these traditions will be followed instead. Some, however, still follow a closer Indian tradition and the celebrations will not be finished after the first day. This provides the opportunity for a great selection of Indian wedding photography, with many outfit changes, bringing in even more wonderful colors and textures.
Boston Indian wedding photographers have the opportunity of capturing the rich colors, distinctive traditions, and special celebrations that make an Indian wedding so unique.
