I had the great pleasure of meeting with Rachel and Evan this past weekend to shoot their Boston engagement photographs. And the heat was on!
After the high temperatures of the previous two days in New England, Saturday proved to be only mildly cooler. So armed with a good few bottles of cold water and blotting paper we headed to Beacon Hill and the beautiful Acorn Street. Rachel and Evan were a truly great pleasure to work with and my thanks are extended to them for allowing me to keep them in the heat to get them some really great photos.
This really unique spot provides a wonderful old New England setting, with a very classic Boston feel, and is one of my favorite engagement shoot locations. The old cobbled street and street lamps create a great atmosphere and perfect backdrop for a Boston wedding or engagement shoot.
The Beacon Hill area is a favorite with Boston wedding photographers, and in addition to Acorn Street, provides some other really striking backdrops. Its location close to the Boston Common, allowed us to head there afterwards to continuing shooting, as the sun dropped down over the Northeast for a beautiful sunset.
I’m really looking forward to shooting with Rachel and Evan on their actual wedding day down in Newport, RI, as they were such a great pleasure to work with on the engagement shoot. A wedding by the sea should provide us with slightly cooler weather as well!
